We have a small team of workers who specialise in supporting those with a loved one in a care home or supported living, or those whose loved one is preparing to enter a care home. Our staff can help carers navigate the practical processes, such as financial considerations and care issues. The team will signpost carers to relevant services to ensure the correct and most appropriate support is given.
The Care Home Support Group meets monthly for a coffee and chat. A Support Worker is available to give information and advice and periodically the group will have a trip or meal out. Carers have even made friendships that they have carried on away from the group.
