Young Adult Carers (YAC) are carers aged between 17 and 25 years old who care for a relative or friend who has a long term health condition or disability.
Our YAC group run activities alongside the usual meets which provides Young Adult Carers the opportunity to relax and escape the demands of their everyday life while also providing them with new experiences. The group offers both one to- one support and support from their peers.
Some of the activities that we have provided have been outdoor laser tag, seaside trips, theatre trips, swimming, ice skating and a picnic in the park.
We also have outside organisations who come along to provide the Young Adult Carers with other exciting opportunities.
