Unpaid Carers Together To Make A Difference

The Wakefield District Carer Voice Network is a community of unpaid carers coming together to make a difference. Whether you care for a family member, friend, or loved one, your voice matters. Join us to share your lived experiences, connect with others like you, and influence positive change in your community and help shape the services that support informal carers.

What we offer

  • Community Connection: Meet other unpaid carers who understand your journey and can offer support and understanding.
  • Influence Change and Make a Difference: Your experiences matter. Together we will hope to influence local decision makers to create positive change, advocating for better support and resources to improve the lives of carers.
  • Idea Workshops: Members of the Carer Voice Network will be invited to join us for in-person and online meetings where you can share your experiences, discuss challenges, and collaborate on solutions.
  • Surveys: Members will be invited to complete surveys to help shape policies and services that directly impact unpaid carers.
  • Newsletter: A quarterly newsletter to let you know what is happening that may impact unpaid carers.

You can take part in the way that works best for you as and when it suits you!

  • Virtual events /workshops (e.g., using TEAMS or ZOOM)
  • Telephone call for one-to-one conversations
  • Whatsapp or email address
