Many carers don't have the time to constantly attend events and provide feedback but for some people it can be a valuable method to channel your knowledge and experience.
There are several ways that you can feedback your experiences to the Statutory and Voluntary Sector services that are there to support you and the person you care for.
Carers Wakefield & District in conjunction with partner organisations hold a quarterly Carers Forum to enable you to have your say.
Carers Forum
Do you provide support to a relative, friend or child who has an illness or a disability?
Carers Wakefield & District and partner organisations invite you to attend our new Carers Forum.
The Carers Forum will be held on a quarterly basis and will give you the opportunity to share ideas about what is important to support carers of all ages. It will be a chance to help us improve local services for carers. Each Carers Forum will focus on specific themes that carers have indentified. Officers from various organisations will attend.
We will be updating you on the work of the Joint Partnership Boards and will discuss how services can best meet carers needs. If you are interested in attending the Forum please contact Jeanette Schofield on (01924) 307785. There are several ways that you can feedback your experiences to the statutory and voluntary sector services that are there to support you.
Please see Carer Involvement Meetings for future dates and locations of the Carers Forums.
